Hello,

I just wanted to see if any of you uses the "My Pages" feature on this site. It is so cool and I have used up all 100 pages to help me organize my links that I find while reading this board. I like the my pages as I can organize the bookmarks and links that I find on this board.

Here is a link to how to use it that was created by Amma

http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-76366-1.htm

and here is the link to "My Pages" that I have created so all of you can review my links that I have posted

Sorry Crafty bear. Didn't realise how to use this facility. Thanks for showing me how to use this. I can see now how helpful this can be.

Lacelady 07-11-2011 01:17 AM

I have used it this last few months after a fellow member told me about it.

You can click on any members name on the left, and scroll down to the bottom to see if they have any pages.

carolaug 07-11-2011 01:31 AM

I did not know about that feature...Thanks!

Mrs B 07-11-2011 02:17 AM

I use it lots It's easy to keep the links organised with these pages

alikat110 07-11-2011 02:45 AM

Having trouble figuring it out. Thinking I have to copy and paste???

sewmuchmore 07-11-2011 02:55 AM

Thank you carftybear, I missed this posting. This is so cool. Thank you also Amma.

QuiltnNan 07-11-2011 03:45 AM

thanks, what a resource that is! many have asked how many pages one can have... i see you said you used up all 100, so i guess 100 is the max.

sueisallaboutquilts 07-11-2011 05:44 AM

Hi Crafty! No I haven't. I bookmark everything so far. I'll check it out :)

blueangel 07-11-2011 05:56 AM

Peggyinno 07-11-2011 06:23 AM

I missed the original post about this, so thanks for the "heads up"! Great feature. Now I have to find time to get all my "bookmarks" in "my pages".
You are indeed a "craftybear"! Thanks for always looking out for us!

SherriB 07-11-2011 06:23 AM

I started using My Pages several months ago. It is such an awesome feature. Good to know how many pages we can have.

craftybear 07-11-2011 09:35 AM

Yes you copy and paste the link to the page that you created on my pages, as you can have up to 100 pages

Crafty, what is the advantage over bookmarking? Just wondering :)

craftybear 07-11-2011 09:49 AM

I like the "My pages " as you can have up to 100 pages and they will be in alphabetical order

As the bookmarks are not in order and hard to find.

I am moving my Bookmarks over to the bookmark "my pages"

Yes - I use it to organize links to here & elsewhere, sorted by type of project, topic, etc. Very useful tool.

so it looks like 100 pages is the MAX, but you can keep adding to the pages??? SO each page as infinite number of things you can add to it???

craftybear 07-11-2011 11:01 AM

you have like 100 pages (like file folders) but you can add lots of things to each page

Have fun and if you have any ? just let me know.

cmilton 07-12-2011 06:51 AM

wow! I wish I knew this when I started bookmarking pages. will start to use this feature now. How can I convert my bookmarks?

mhansen6 07-12-2011 06:57 AM

Oh my word. Your page is fantastic. You have done all the work for us. The board should up the number of links you have. Thank you for all your work.

mountain deb 07-12-2011 07:01 AM

Never explored all my options on this site. Maybe a day when I have the time. Right now have to think about finishing up the shampooing of the living room, it is 3/4 done.

peacequiltingnana 07-12-2011 07:09 AM

Thank you for your post. I will bookmark it and get back to it when all my company leaves. I'm still learning this site and am grateful for any help I can get.

grammysharon 07-12-2011 07:23 AM

Thank you for showing us how to use this feature. I will start using it and organize all my bookmarks :D

JudieRQuilting 07-12-2011 09:51 AM

No, I haven't used it or even really thought about it. Thanks for bringing it to our attention and telling what a valuable tool it can be.

JudieRQuilting 07-12-2011 09:59 AM

Yay! I immediately set up a page and have already posted a link I want to keep!

sueisallaboutquilts 07-12-2011 11:08 AM

Hey Crafty,
It's after 3 and you're a no-show. Hmmm........... :D:D

Evie 07-12-2011 12:26 PM

Oh, yes! I've been using it since the feature was first set up and love it. Haven't had time yet to move all my "bookmarks" over, but that'll come -- sometime in between projects.

lynnie 07-12-2011 12:54 PM

never used it, never knew how.
thanks for sharing

fishnlady 07-12-2011 07:50 PM

I do save some sites however one time I was going through some of my sites and many of them were no longer a valid site so if it is something I really like I copy and paste the info into a word document or save as a picture etc. Then I always have it for future use. It takes a little more time but I will never lose it that way.
I was not quite sure how to use the My Pages so thank you for your help.

craftybear 07-12-2011 08:27 PM

I am here, now 12:27 am, your light is on but you are not answering your door, ha ha

Thanks craftybear, you are so handy with the computer and such a great addition to this board. Thank you for all of the time you spend helping all of us with different links and any time we are looking for something, we know just who will be able to find it for us. If you can't find it then it must not be anywhere to be found! You ar just TOPS for the rest of us. I will start using the my pages section, thanks to you.
