I love zentangling! It has really helped me cope with my chronic pain. Actually, what I do is zendoodling, as l use recognizable organic shapes such as leaves and flowers in mine.
Call it what you will, l find it fun, inexpensive and easy to do anywhere. It recently helped me pass an extended airport delay, lol. I carry a small plain notebook in my purse, as well as having a folder l carry with me when l expect to be waiting a lot. |
Love it and have taught all the grandkids to do it also.
You can also zentangle using thread and your machine, not as relaxing but love it. |
madamekelly,
Here is some inspiration for you from Bernina's German blog: http://blog.bernina.com/de/?s=zentangle I often don't even bother translating these pages -- the pictures speak for themselves. |
I have done some and have a couple books but not real fond of the combining of different tangles or creating art. I do mine on a 3x3 post it note pad. It is the pattern that fascinates me more than all of the shading.

Some good ideas for filling those white spaces in a quilt!
