Very pretty. I like the red and blue combination.

This would look good in my grandkids room at my house! Want to share?

I was taught to embroider by hand. Still remember how. I don't have a machine that does it. My machine does have fancy stitches and I can do monograms. Have been thinking about doing some blocks the old fashion way and making my 2 daughters both a small quilt. It is in the planning and dreaming stage :D

I too still hand embroidery and usually always have a project going. Working on a redwork one now. I took a Needlework class in college and learned all sorts of embroidery methods. Loved the class and thus got an A. I made huck towels when I was in 4H. Still have a couple of them. Think like quilting hand embroidery will be around for a long time. Happy stitching :)

I have been collecting anything I find that has been hand embroidered. I am getting quite a collection now. Some are dresser scarves some are pillowcases and one I have is a card table tablecloth. They are fun to look for in antique shops and yard sales or junk shops.

I just pulled out my embroidery book last night because I couldn't remeber how to do an edge stitch. It took me a bit, but once I was in the groove, it was enjoyable.

my mother used to have those. the problem is that when you finish them, you don't want to spoil them by using them. women used to have sets that they just displayed. bathroom hand towels also. if a guest accidentally used one, housewives (read: my mother) would need a valium. LOL!
