I agree. I have the upright and the hose is very stiff, my next Dyson will be a canister! I do love it and have a cat.

Before my ex moved out, I bought a Dyson model that is specifically made for pets. It's awesome.

I bought it after a recommendation from a co-worker. She told me that she had a model that was a lemon, and when she told Dyson about it, they sent her a new machine.

If you have allergies or an excess of pet hair, this vacuum is worth the money.

Ok so which owns do you aaall own, besides the purple pet one? they had one on QVC..

DC25 blue one, was on the 4 easy pmts. last week, but it off the payments now.

the purple one is on the payment plan though.
i have not checked around to compare prices. DD hs the blue one.

i have the oreck, i like it, but don't love it. it is about 4 years old now, and i would sell it,first.

I have hardwood floors and a mastiff that sheds enough to re-fur a medium sized dog (LOL) so I just use a swiffer (don't even own a vacuum) but I have thought of getting a vacuum. How would a Dyson do on hardwood floors?

I didn't get the pet one but it handles 2 kitties fine. I had an old Oreck and had just used it when we brought the Dyson home. Oh my... the Oreck sure wasn't doing a very good job.

I've had the Purple Pet dyson for over 6 years and love it! I would definitely buy it again.

I have one and love it. If you are worried about pet hair, Dyson has 1 especially for that. They are well worth the money.

I have had my upright for 14 years, had its first visit to the repairman last year. I also have one of the smaller ones which I use upstairs. I think they are the best

Susan, my Dyson has a switch for carpet and one for floors, it does a great job.

We have the yellow one. When we first got it 8 years ago, my son had a Beagle, and you would not believe what it picked up. When he got married, he took the dog. Now, after he leaves with her, I vacuum, and you would not believe what it picks up. I would never buy a different brand. Works as good as the day we bought it.
