drivingsusan 06-08-2011 04:29 AM

Yesterday I (finally) did the same to a small footstool that my little Chihuahua uses to get up on the sofa!!

kraftykimberly 06-08-2011 04:30 AM

Great fabric. We did our chairs a couple of years ago. It was very easy and made all of the difference to how the set looks now.

blueangel 06-08-2011 05:27 AM

Those look nice.

neeng 06-08-2011 05:31 AM

Very nice job!

Stapling doesn't count only if you use it to hem your pants and never get around to doing it properly!

QuiltnNan 06-08-2011 05:49 AM

pretty design.

Mine were not. Just needed to unscrew the cushion part, pull fabric tight and staple (used a good staple gun). I have done this many times.

I admit it, I have stapled in the past.

Loved neengs reply! Never stapled corned! Lol

akrogirl 06-08-2011 06:58 AM

I just love your table and chairs, and that fabric is perfect  I wish I could find something like that around here.

Sure they count. You did a very good job...your corners are perfect. Doesn't it feel like you have a NEW dining room set? It is amazing how a little fabric can make such a difference. Love the modern feel of your fabric!

cctx. 06-08-2011 09:48 AM

You are a great stapler!! And the fabric is yummy.

Kas 06-08-2011 11:21 AM

I really love that pattern! Where did you get that?

It is not a pattern. Just a piece of fabric. Could not be easier to cover. Ikea sells fabric that is perfect for upholstery ,bags and curtains. It is thicker than 100% cotton fabric.

Wonderful job!!!

stapling always counts.Need to redo my chair but hubby has to do some glue work on them first.

quilter68 06-09-2011 05:48 AM

Good job! The fabric goes so well with the chair style.

grannypat7925 06-09-2011 07:01 AM

Thumbelina 06-09-2011 08:46 AM

Pretty chairs you did a nice job.

VernaL 06-09-2011 12:24 PM

The fabric is striking!! It looks good with the flooring, etc. Nice work. I've redone our dining room chairs several times, but never with as interesting fabric as yours. I love them.

Sorry, I meant the pattern on the fabric. I knew it wasn't pieced. So you got it at Ikea? I wonder if they have it at mine?

twixbar 06-09-2011 01:12 PM

Beautiful job, I did some a few years ago.

Rainbow 06-09-2011 01:56 PM

Not hard AT ALL.... turn the chair upside down on a covered table and just look what's there. The rest is easy...easier if your bottom screws off.

You did a beautiful job on those chairs.

wanderingcreek 06-09-2011 02:22 PM

Love the fabric. It really stands out with your table and chairs. It is so easy to recover chair seats and it really makes a difference in how they look. Makes an old set look new again. (Did my parent's chairs and they have to be almost as old as I am but what a difference it made)

All Ikea's sell the same things. I was in Sweden visiting family and went to 3 Ikea's--they are even layed out very much the same. The only issue might be that I got this over the past year and if your store is out---then it is out.

hperttula123 06-09-2011 03:55 PM

Love it!!! and it does count!
