I've made many period outfits for dolls, pantaloons and all, but I haven't tackled shoes. Great job!!

Just jaw dropping. I have made lots of doll clothing but never the shoes. I am so impressed!

Could you please give me a suggestion for what size purse I should make for this same doll? I've seen patterns but I rather make my own and need a general size to make one. such as 3"x4" shoulder strap 12". etc.( just guessing these numbers) Thanks for any help. One great grand daughter has an american girl doll and is on vacation with her aunt. I want to surprise her with a couple new purses for her doll. Thank you for any help.

I haven't made a doll purse but google it and you may get a size.

Wow the outfits and shoes are great. Having made clothes for my DGD's doll years ago, I know how much work goes into all of these outfits. You are an amzing Grandmother!!!!

I bought a used doll from ebay. so I can figure out the right sizes of accessories. Thank you for the response though. I have made a few pairs of shoes and a couple purses.

When my daughter was younger I made a suitcase full of Barbie clothes. Do you know how many of Barbie clothes can fit in a regular size suitcase?..:D:D Would be nice to have a little more income but no shops around me. I am rural, in the countryside.

I think the American Doll clothes are just about the smallest doll clothes I think I would ever try! Having said that, they are still a pain and you have done a remarkable job!! Hint - if you want to make a side income, make more and sell them. We have a section in our shoppe of american doll clothes made by 2 of our members and they sell like crazy. Parents know what the store bought ones cost and they come to us specifically to buy or special order them. One lady has twin granddaughters and has had us make several almost matching outfits for their dolls, including ones from their old school uniform. And it is a great way to use up all the bits in your stash!
