My little grand daughter had her party yesterday and I got her this doll and made the clothes and shoes. My first time to try making shoes so don't examine too close:D but she was thrilled and that's all that matters.Barefoot Hippie in bell bottoms Sunday dressesplay capris and patriotic swing all the shoes and finally bedtime-shorty PJ's

Wow! I don't know who you are trying to kid. The shoes are out of this world and complete the beautifully outfits you made for this doll. She has to be one very happy girl!

osewme 07-22-2019 06:26 AM

Oh my gosh you have really been one busy grandmother! I bet she just loved the new doll & wardrobe. Great job!!!

maryb119 07-22-2019 06:33 AM

Love the doll clothes. I enjoy making them, too! The shoes are fantastic!

tranum 07-22-2019 07:02 AM

Good to see kids enjoying this and using imagination, so much is about video games now.

QuiltnNan 07-22-2019 07:08 AM

what a terrific wardrobe

Rhonda K 07-22-2019 07:20 AM

Those are adorable outfits and shoes! Can't you just imagine the places GD will take her doll all dressed up?

Tartan 07-22-2019 07:45 AM

Very cute!

Chasing Hawk 07-22-2019 09:02 AM

Just gorgeous, all that matters is that your Grand Daughter is thrilled.

P/S
I would wear that wardrobe. :)

PamelaOry 07-22-2019 09:16 AM

Beautiful! That last dress and bloomers are my favorite.

annievee 07-22-2019 09:37 AM

Great job--love the shoes--I ended up buying my GD doll shoes at Hobby Lobby and Joann's, using their coupons so price was not bad ! Had to have gold shoes--lol ! I still have pattern for shoes I may make one day.

Jordan 07-22-2019 11:34 AM

I really don't believe you that you didn't want us to examine the shoes too close-they are adorable. Such a nice wardrobe with matching shoes and I bet your DGD was so excited to receive this gift. You did a fantastic job on all of the shoes and outfits.

Eva Knight 07-22-2019 12:21 PM

Loved all the outfits. Great job on the shoes.

When making the brown Mary Janes I got hot glue on me and couldn't get it off as I was glueing the sole on with other hand. It wasn't a complete failure and that vinyl was stiffer making it harder to manipulate, too. They were the worst.

Jingle 07-22-2019 01:52 PM

All of those clothes and shoes are absolutely adorable. Lucky little Granddaughter.

canmitch1971 07-22-2019 06:32 PM

Fantastic job on the clothes and the shoes.

zozee 07-22-2019 07:48 PM

Toogie, i love these doll clothes and matching shows!! Adorable and stylish . My favorite is the red n white polka dot outfit.
You’re talented, lady!

bearisgray 07-22-2019 08:41 PM

Wow - those are wonderful!

Mariposa 07-22-2019 08:56 PM

Darling outfits and shoes!

Stitchnripper 07-22-2019 10:16 PM

They are all wonderful! You did a great job!!

luvstoquilt 07-23-2019 03:44 AM

Each outfit is cuter than the last! Lucky little granddaughter for sure. My grandmother always bought me a doll for my birthday and she made her a wardrobe. Sweetest memories.

illinois 07-23-2019 03:52 AM

Where did you find the pattern for the shoes? They are adorable! I need some shoes for a boy version of this doll. It's fun to make doll clothes for awhile, taking a break from quilting.

The wardrobe brings back memories of my childhood with all the doll clothes my mother made for me. I spent hours with those and still have them in a suitcase in the attic. Unfortunately the dolls were made of hard rubber that the years deteriorated them--sad!

SusieQOH 07-23-2019 04:05 AM

How adorable!! She must be thrilled!! I certainly would be.

mopec 07-23-2019 06:14 AM

Those outfits are so adorable! I still like dolls and I am 74 lol. Where did you find the shoe pattern or did you create your own. I love the sandals.

lawsonmugs 07-23-2019 08:47 AM

These are all just too cute. I love the sandals. I want a pair in size 8 please LOL I am also 70 so you never outgrow a dollie. I would also like the pattern info for it all. We older ladies are just antique little girls.

bearisgray 07-23-2019 08:58 AM

Those outfits are so cute - and those shoes! Marvelous!!

SueZQ from MN 07-23-2019 10:33 AM

That doll has a bigger wardrobe than I do! haha I love the sundresses. Your granddaughter must be thrilled. Great job.

stillvnu 07-23-2019 07:29 PM

You did great! That is an amazing gift! A couple of my granddaughters have AG dolls and I just can't convince myself to start making clothes … (bad grandma) but shoes too! I hope they are grateful!

Jane Quilter 07-23-2019 07:36 PM

Great body of work! Please share the sandal pattern. I want to give them a try. I have never tried shoes, but you are an inspiration....

ctrysass2012 07-23-2019 08:27 PM

Great outfits! I have a couple of Fisher Price soft body dolls & have made clothes for them. Is this also a Fisher Price doll? I keep looking for more dolls but am having trouble finding them.

sewbizgirl 07-23-2019 08:27 PM

The clothes are beautiful and I love that you made matching shoes.

junegerbracht 07-24-2019 03:19 AM

Years ago I made a First Communion doll for a seven year old grandniece (now 22). Years later when her younger sister (now 14) made her First Communion she proudly showed me her doll with the dress her older sister had passed down. Children do appreciate when you make something special for them. Your beautiful dresses and out of this world shoes have inspired me to get patterns out and start sewing for my nine year old granddaughter. Thanks for the inspiration!

Minnesewta-sam 07-24-2019 04:40 AM

Such a lucky little girl! Everything is fantastic....and made with love! Thanks for sharing.

klswift 07-24-2019 06:14 AM

I think the American Doll clothes are just about the smallest doll clothes I think I would ever try! Having said that, they are still a pain and you have done a remarkable job!! Hint - if you want to make a side income, make more and sell them. We have a section in our shoppe of american doll clothes made by 2 of our members and they sell like crazy. Parents know what the store bought ones cost and they come to us specifically to buy or special order them. One lady has twin granddaughters and has had us make several almost matching outfits for their dolls, including ones from their old school uniform. And it is a great way to use up all the bits in your stash!

Are you kidding!!! Saying not to look too closely at the shoes.....they are wonderful!!!!!! I love all the clothes and shoes you have made. I hope the doll and clothing will become a treasure for your granddaughter and she will still have them when she has her own children!

toogie 07-24-2019 01:59 PM

Hi all! Thank you all for looking and your nice comments. For those wondering about the shoes, here is a link. I'm sorry I haven't the time to add anymore because I'm waiting on a flight. I'll be gone about 10 days but if you need anything else, I will try to answer back then. Meanwhile here are the sandalshttps://www.pixiefaire.com/collectio...-18-doll-shoes and they have many free patterns for these dolls.

sJens 07-24-2019 03:24 PM
