Wow! I feel for ya.

We've had an unusually cool summer here this year Just one day over a 100 degrees so far. 81 today. Unheard of in July!

Jim 07-26-2011 10:29 PM

I am NEVER ready for winter..I despise everything about winter(cold, ice, snow, sleet, naked trees, snow, snow, snow...lol)...last yr we had over 100 days of 90 degrees plus and so far this year over 30....but I only complain about winter...love love love summer

quilt-fanatic 07-26-2011 10:34 PM

I'll take Winter if it means we get some moisture. My trees have almost lost all their leaves due to the extreme heat. Too hot to do anything except sew or read.

I'll swap our winter for your summer... we have been in the minus degC most mornings for the past week. I am so over winter, longing for spring to come along.

My son and his family just moved to Austin. Guess I know what they are going through! Yikes!

wanda lou 07-26-2011 11:17 PM

I am ready for the snow, the ice and the cold.

tammy cosper 07-26-2011 11:39 PM

meeee too..I think. I'm just wondering with the kind of summer we've had. What is winter going to bring? Lol. We made all be glad for our treadles.

merchjag 07-27-2011 03:05 AM

Fall ya'll

Psychomomquilter 07-27-2011 03:19 AM

hard to believe I am saying it too! yes ready for the cool weather. the 90's and 100's just too much!! at least we can wrap up when it is cold!

blueangel 07-27-2011 03:44 AM

I.m just ready for a nice fall. Hope we get one.

suekenyon 07-27-2011 03:50 AM

Can't get here fast enough for me.

DebsShelties 07-27-2011 04:10 AM

Since it is less humid today, going to finish the push mowing in my yard this am while I can stay outside in the weather without crashing.
This heat is unreal.
Wish we could just tilt the states that are being flooded and let the water run down to those who are in drought.

lucniak 07-27-2011 04:18 AM

not me but it has only been 90+ here

mash43quilter 07-27-2011 04:29 AM

I am in Fredericksburg, Tx and when I left the quilt shop yesterday my car said 109.... Yes, I am ready for cooler weather.

kathyd 07-27-2011 04:33 AM

Not ready for winter just yet...but cool fall temps would be wonderful!

mythreesuns 07-27-2011 04:34 AM

I am so sick of this summer heat already.. I hate the humidity and heat. If I could find a place that stays around 72..I would move there in a NY minute. At least in winter, you can add clothes..summer..the law only allows so much clothes to come off. lol

michelehuston 07-27-2011 04:40 AM

I do not like winter. I do not like to be cold. I don NOT like snow. I definately do not wish it were winter. I want to move where the temperature does not go below 50. Nope not wishing for winter. ;)

We're still waiting for summer!

Mimmis57 07-27-2011 05:07 AM

I'm with you!

Deb watkins 07-27-2011 05:12 AM

Oh my, bite off your tongue!!!! Summers here in upstate NY can get a little warm (?) but our winters are so cold that I enjoy summer when it is here. Now, Fall - on the other hand, is my hands-down favorite season. But, then winter soon follows....

Pete 07-27-2011 05:17 AM

This San Antonio quilter wishes for the 4 seasons.....then summer would be short. Seriously - as a displaced Yankee I have not acclimated to Texas weather and hate our summers --- only good that comes out of it is I am inside all the time quilting in the AC! Don't even get the mail if DH is home.

edensgaite 07-27-2011 05:29 AM

Hot here in east Texas too! The town six miles away got a storm and rained for an hour straight...not a drop here in ever so long. My trees are dying. I'd just like to get past August and most of September. I've heard people talk about Winter, saying it's gonna be a rough one. I've been piling up wood anad prayin'.

Mikki

sueisallaboutquilts 07-27-2011 05:47 AM

There is nothing more beautiful than Fall in upstate New York!!
I miss it :(

Tudey 07-27-2011 06:02 AM

While it has been very nice in the San Francisco Bay Area this summer (just a couple of really "hot" days)---I am always more than ready for winter!

KGoodhand 07-27-2011 06:04 AM

OMGosh no!!!! I am further north then you so we have only had a few days over 100! But I love the heat and hate the cold!!! Summer forever!!!!

Amythyst02 07-27-2011 06:17 AM

Here is my thought on this, I hate the heat, I am grumpy when I am hot. I do not want to go outside when its hot. Even nights are hot here. I hate that my electric bill is so high during the summer. To be honest I guess truthfully I am not a summer person. I love snow. I love the cold. I just wish I lived somewhere that does snow, and has seasons. And don't ask why I live here, because if I had my choice we would be moving as soon as it got cooler. But..DH loves it hot. And my kids and grandkids are all here now too. So here I am living here still grumbling : )

I am so ready for winter : )

Sewlmatesister 07-27-2011 06:18 AM

Oh Barbara, please don't say that...I know you live in Texas, but think what winter means to us in the North!! LOL

Summer happens to be my LEAST favorite season, and I'm always glad when autumn rolls around and then comes the winter - fabulous. Summer is the season I have to stay indoors with the air conditioner - can't breathe in the summer soup (I have COPD) Can't go out in the sun ( I have Lupus) I do enjoy looking out of the window at the green grass and leaves and the flowers - but you couldn't get me out there on a bet!!! And I live in the North where it can get mighty cold and snowy - but I love that!

Abby'smom 07-27-2011 07:01 AM

Yeah, with you -- we are a little cooler but with much more humidity -- of course, I will complain when the cold weather comes too!

ShowMama 07-27-2011 07:08 AM

I'm so ready for cooler weather too, but looks like we're in for another couple of months of heat! I just wish it would rain. We're so dry that the ground in our yard has huge cracks.

BarbaraSue 07-27-2011 07:11 AM

I'd have spring and fall all the time. I don't like summer and can do without winter! But then why do I live in illinois?

HummerGardenCrafts 07-27-2011 07:15 AM

I'm ready for winter too! Just not all the snow!!!!! I don't mind some. Just don't like the snows where the power goes out. But it sure makes for good times to do all those crafts and quilts.

Rann 07-27-2011 07:17 AM

I would loved to have seen a real spring instead of BAM into summer and temps over 100.

Learner747 07-27-2011 07:29 AM

I love winter and I hate summer. Enough said. :-D

wisconsin 07-27-2011 07:49 AM

I keep saying, when it is a minus 25, remind me of how I hated the heat this summer :)

suzm 07-27-2011 07:56 AM

Past ready for winter. It's just hot!

vickimc 07-27-2011 08:41 AM

man o man, I have been say that for weeks. Dec. looks good about now. The humidity is tough here in SC.

Agreed!

I think here in the NW we are still having winter weather. We had a few nice days some balmy but still a little on the depressing side to me. Of course I don't like it hot either.

plainpat 07-27-2011 09:17 AM

Any weather where it's under 85* would suit me fine.ENOUGH!!!!!! of this sweaty,draggy....hot,hot soupy stuff.
