We've had 38 days of over 100 degrees so far this year. Today got to 102. I'm ready for winter. Anyone else?

Not in South Dakota am I ready for Winter, Just cooler summer would be wonderful.
It's not as bad here, but still hot & humid most days. Every time the heat is bothering, I keep telling myself, winter is not far off, & soon, it will alot colder than we wish it was. This too shall pass..... Thank goodness our seasons change & we don't have the same weather year round!
Really? I'm sure not ready for NH winter weather! We soak up all the heat we can during our short summers. But, I do agree, it's been pretty hot and humid.
I just heard on the this evening's news that the St. Louis area can expect excessive heat through the first 9 days of August! I don't want winter, but I can't handle this heat either. Hope everyone stays cool and use their A/Cs and fans.
I can appreciate that coming from basically anywhere outside of the Pacific Northwest. You guys have gotten hammered. On the other hand, we just started getting summer weather so I'm not burned out yet!! I feel bad for you guys every morning, I just don't think I could stand that heat for that long!
we've had a pretty warm/humid summer so far also- i just remind myself- in January when it's 20 below zero and windy- i will be remembering this hot-humid summer...
i am a big fan of fall- but i don't want to rush it= January will be here too soon |
I have had my fill of hot and humid! I would like a day to cool everything off! I don't even want to see my utility bill.
Here in the land Downunder, I am OVER winter and ready for summer     We just had a week in Fiji and it was so nice to be warm again.
When I was whining about the heat I got a memory of last winter and the winter before that and I've figured it out this way: I may be hot but I can go inside with fans and air conditioning. In the winter when I'm cold I can go inside with heat and covers--the difference is I don't have to shovel rain! :D
No it gets cold up here!!!
Never!! Nothing is worth having winter weather again. We've had several 100 and above days too. Yes it's too hot but much better than winter weather...lol
Shhhh, no not yet. I get you guys are suffering but we have bearly had summer yet. I'm so not ready for nasty wet cold weather.
Would you mind just asking for a cool down for your area? Please. :D |
no, I don't think I am ready for all that snow again. A repeat of last year would just stink..
No way am I ready for winter! I would love it if it could be in the 70's all year round tho!
No No No No No, a thousand times NO, I hate winter I hate being cold, toes go numb, fingers go numb, Just can't take the cold
I am ready for fall though, would love a break in the heat, but no freezing temps! Only problem i have with fall, is all those leaves getting in my pond. that just means more work for me. |
Count me in too. Some nice cool days would be great for doing a lot of quilting. When it is so hot I can't sew!
We have only had 25 days over 100 here but there is no end in sight. Tomorrow is predicted to be 109. I am really ready for it to cool off.

We haven't even had a summer yet. Just a few days over 80. Send us some sunshine! DH hasn't even gotten the boat wet yet this "summer". |
I am loving Winter.
I hate summer! Heat stifles me. When it is cool I have heaps of energy to get things done. |
I don't like cold- bring on the heat!
If I could run the weather, it would always be just the wrong temperature for bugs but right for people.
I'm not, though, so have to take what I get. |
I don't want to jinx myself or anyone else but this summer has not been to bad here. Our highest have been med 90 even had extra rain in our area,( we are considered to be high desert) even the wind has died down some. We do still have snow visiable on 3 mountain tops. It should have been gone by the end of June. Our cherrys are about 3 weeks late, the garden harvest is running late too. Hope you get some cooler weather soon.

That's pretty warm!
But I love summer! We haven't had too many really hot days this year. I just hate the cold and snow. Maybe we could all have a happy medium. That would be nice. |
Oh No! I can handle the heat better than the cold! No flowers, no critters, no going to town whenever I want. Winter means snow and my truck is horrible on the snow. Shoveling..no...no...no...I'd rather mow, weed, and sweat.
Yes, yes!!
I've been ready for a month, but I know I'll be complaining when snow comes. Never happy unless it's 65 degrees.
I love, love, love winter! I wish it were longer. I know, I'm sick but I love the shorter days when we're in earlier with less yard work, ballgames, etc. It means more time to relax and I have so much more time for sewing. We don't get a lot of snow so it's not as bad here as it is for a lot of you.
I keep saying you can always put on more cloths but there is only so much you can take off before the cops come to get you!!
I'm sick of the heat!!!!!!!!!!!

:-D & the a/c isn't always very cool. I agree, I don't have to shovel rain. :-D |
Everyone is going to hate me. I turned on my air conditioner today for a half hour or so, but turned it off when it got comfortable. My cat was lying in the opened door with screen locked, basking in the sunlight. The back door was also open with its screen locked so the two cats couldn't get out. The nice, fresh breeze was blowing out the old air and the house smells nice now.
Spring and summer here are kinda confused this year, but the gardens and orchards around are bursting with fruits and nuts. Not too unbearably hot here, but August is still to come. |
