I googled "percale sheets" and many came up. I don't know if they are what you want, but worth a look.

Back in the day (I'm only 74 LOL), they made two types of sheets; percale or muslin. That was the choice. The percale sheets were smoother as they had a tighter thread count. The muslin sheets were less expensive and were not as smooth as the percale sheets. Even so lots of people liked the muslin over the percale, many people thought they felt warmer.

I bought mine at Kohl's. I need the deep pockets for a gel topper.

My WalMart sheets are 100% cotton.

I bought sheets at Walmart just this week. They are a combination of poly and cotton and are labeled as percale. 250 thread count. The are queen size and were labeled at @$24.94 but marked down to $15. They were the only ones they had in queen size so thought I best snatch them up while I could get them at that price. I got a four piece set and the bottom is to fit mattresses up to 16". They just happened to be in a color to match our blanket and other colors in our bedroom. Figured I couldn't pass it up.

I have done this too. Then I found "garters" at either Wal Mart or Bed, Bath & Beyond & they have worked very well for years.

Has anyone tried Bed Bath and Beyond for percale sheets? haven't shopped thee in a while, but they used to have a good selection of sheets.
