Don't they make Percale Sheet Sets anymore?

Seriously, I recently purchased a set of sheets for my bed. The set was very expensive, I have a King size bed. The sheets are the worst set of sheets I have ever owned. I have always used Percale sheets on my beds, but I have not been able to find any. Are they not made anymore?

I totally agree. The best sheets I have found are Member's Mark, at Sam's club. Just bought a second set today!

I have sheets from WalMart and they are a good quality. Mine were bought individually, not in a set. I don't like sets since I have extra pillows on my bed. The fitted sheets are extra depth for the thicker mattresses.

I have a thicker mattress plus a 4" memory foam top. We have to pull the deep pocket sheets down every night. I'm thinking of putting kings on or taking a flat and making it into a fitted. No quality anymore. Right now we have Wlamarts on and they are pretty good.

What is "Percale" anyway?

Not sure what percale is but use to be the only thing they used to make sheets and pillowcases from.
I bought a sheet set at Wal Mart and they are so wonderful I went back and bought another set. I have a 4" topper on the bed and the fitted sheet goes over the mattress and top with ease. The fitted sheet never comes off, it has elastic all the way around. I told my Daughter about them, she said they were better than the ones she bought at twice the price. She also bought two sets. They will probably quit selling them because they sell out every time they reorder them. Seems the way they do it at the Wal Mart I go to.

Could you provide a little more information about the sheets at Walmart?

This webpage describes the difference between Percale & Sateen sheets.

I, too, like the Percale. Here in the deep south, we need everything we can to stay cool during the summer. The softer drape of the sateen is much warmer.

Sam's Club seems to have really good sheets too. Last time I purchased them was last year and they were much better than in previous years. Not sure about the percale thing; I used to look for percale sheets too but don't remember seeing that in recent years. The sheets from Sam's Club have been smooth and pretty much wrinkle-free, soft, and they are deep enough to fit our thick pillow-top mattress even with a gel topper on.

When this happens to one of my fitted sheets, I sew elastic straps on each corner.
