Planted some in the berry patch, which is contained. It is spreading but I think they are companion plants. The berries are doing really well this year. Now if I could keep the squirrels and birds out!

I don't know about giving you energy but this is a very good water. We make it at work in an infuser, similar to the way Dr Oz but about 1 1/2 -2 gallons. Don't keep it over night or it will become bitter from the lemon rind.

Actually, I freeze mine. I have a plastic container in there right now.

I clean them and lay on cookie sheets. Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Put mint in oven for a little bit and turn oven off. After I use the oven for anything, I turn it off and put the mint in until very dry. Then I crumble it.

When i first got married I dried roses and herbs.. I found in my neck of the woods (it's very humid here) suspending a old curtain, or fabric and placing the items spread out on it, worked very well.

You can do the hanging upside down; it works great. You can tie either a fine mesh bag or small brown lunch bag over the greenery so that when it starts to dry it'll all fall into the bag. You can use a clothes hanger and make a wreath to hang it while it dries (works great with rosemary, etc too) and you can chop them, add a little water and freeze in ice cube trays. I do this with cilantro. I buy several when it's on sale and store it for future use. It's one of my favorite herbs.

Instead of using string for drying I use a small rubber band and hang it upside down. The rubber band will shrink with the herbs and you won't find them all over the floor. LOL

Freezing in old ice cube trays is easiest, but I have dried mint in the microwave.

I often keep a pitcher of water with fresh mint in the fridge during the summer, I'll have to try some of these additional items too. And try the freezing-never tried that before.
