thanks! I have some flannel left over from a backing. I don't usually piece with it and this is my husband's favorite duster tool (not that he uses it often...)

I have mislaid my duster handle before and substituted two fat pencils. Chopsticks will work in a pinch, but are a bit thin. I guess you could wrap the chopsticks to make them fit better.

What a great idea! Wonder if it would make a difference if you cut the initial pieces with a pinking blade?
