Gaby4v,
Please let us know that you are still safe. How bad was Misawa affected by the Tsunami? It's been reported that Hachinohe was hit pretty hard. I hope you are OK. {{{ HUGS }}} Kathy B

Kathy,

As far as I know, Misawa is out of power due to the earthquuake but was not affected by the tsunami. If you have facebook, these pages have great information:

Also, all military members and their families at Misawa and Yokota bases, those that live on and off base, have been accounted for and are safe.

Tabby, Thanks so much for the info. Checked out the 35th Squadron web site and reassuring info there. It is so scary. Have friends there on the economy and have been worried about them also. Sounds like Gaby should be safe.

How are you? Are you there now? Hope you are OK.

Thanks for keeping us informed.

We are about 1500 miles from Sendai so we are quite safe. Haven't felt a tremor but we have had tsunami warnings that have now been cancelled. Really scary because it very well could have happened here.

Please be safe. My prayers are with you and your families.

Kathy, we are okay. Misawa was not affected by the Tsunami. Hachinohe had some damage. We all need to continue praying for everybody affected by the Tsunami.
