Easter Eggs that you look in and see small easter items.

Do they make these anymore? I always wanted one. I think they are made of sugar that is spun.

You can make these yourself using pressed sugar. Here are some how-to websites:

And here's a website that sells them:

I had one of those! I hadn't thought about that in years.

Yes!! I remember them...they used to be so pretty! We would "save" them until they got brittle and dusty and crumbly!!

When I was a kid, I always wanted one, but never got one.

I still have one. It is very pretty; a gift from someone who did make it for me.

Those were my favorite things at Easter! I think I only got one once. They still had them in England when I visited at Easter time a couple of years ago. So pretty! Over there they don't do "bunnies", just eggs. Every kind of eggs.

My aunt, mother and I made them one year when my aunt was taking cake decorating.. You make a top and a bottom from sugar and egg white if I remember correctly. Then we piped frosting grass and flowers in the bottom half and put in tiny plastic bunnies. More frosting glues the two halves together, with flowers on top and around the hole and the seam. I had them for years.

I have one that is over 50 years old! I am a young 62, a neighbor made them for all four of us for Easter...wonder if the sisters still have theirs? Mine is in my china cabinet, it's a bit faded- but still very pretty.
