I live in the country. My cats have brought me bunnies, birds, frogs, mice, moles, and even a snake. They bring them as presents to their owners. The only thing that made it in the house was a bunny which was still alive but wounded and 'Missy' hid it behind the potato box for later. FYI, Bunny's have a high pitched squeal.

Back to the snake. I'd heard that there were snakes around here when we moved in. (I live in the country, not too far from a stream). But actually seeing a snake that was 13-15 inches long, made me look behind my back alot being out in the yard. My DH said it was a garter snake, but I don't care what kind it is. I'm not going there!

Don't hate snakes in the right environment...do not want to live with them!

I always welcomed snakes in my yard as they take care of a lot of less desirable critters, but I sure would not like them in my house, especially in those numbers. Unbelievable! Actually, come to think of it, we did have snakes in the house once, that was some many years ago. My son had brought in a copperbelly, not a copperhead. Had it in a pail in the entryway which led up to the kitchen or down to the basement. That snake produced a bunch of babies and one somehow got out of the large tin pail. I was in the basement doing something and my oldest daughter came down to the landing to tell me something and spotted the baby. She hollered "snake" and jumped from the landing up two steps and into the kitchen. I was on the way up from the basement just in time to see her valiant leap. I got the snake and we returned them to the outside. New rule: no more snakes in house, thank you.

We have had mice, chipmunks, spiders, etc in our house. But if I ever found a snake I would be out of there so fast. I hate snakes.
