I have a Bernina 200E. I don't embroider as much as I'd like, but do use it for quilt labels and special quilt blocks. Its tons of fun and amazing to watch! I've eembroidered lots of things...including toilet paper rolls!

I also have a Janome 350e and have never regretted buying it for a minute! As the others have said it is very user friendly. It only does embroidery but this way I can embroider on it while sewing on my reg machine. I love the Hatched in Africa folks. They took one of my quilts on tour with them last yr. I was flattered beyond words!

I have a Viking Scandinavia 400 that I bought BNIB from Ebay about 2 years ago for $500 + shipping ($45). It's an older model but it was never used.
It is a sewing machine as well as an embroidery machine. It was very easy to learn to use by just reading the instruction booklet. I use it for embroidery several times a year but can also use it for sewing when my main machine is in the shop. I love it and would recommend it. |
I have the Brother SE400 but haven't learned how to use the embroidery part yet.

I bought a Pfaff Creative 4.0 last summer and did not buy the embroidery unit to go with it. I am truely regretting that decission. This is an amazing machine and I really wish I have the embroidery unit to go with it. Luckily I can purchase it extra and add it on. I am saving my pennies now to buy it.

Unfortunatly I do not have one either. I would like to have one also, it looks so easy on those machines, wonder if it is?

I recently upgraded to the Viking ruby and LOVE it. It is so easy to use for both my quilting and embroidery. The help feature is right on the screen.

I have Janomes. A 6600P and 11000 embroidery/sewing combo.
One rage now is doing your quilt blocks in the embroidery hoops. Many digitizers are now digitizing the well known, familiar quilt blocks for the embroidery machines. Then there is one I am familiar with that digitizes their own design creations for quilting in the hoop. I have not made a complete quilt yet using all the designs, but I have sewn out some of the blocks. It's not difficult. So something else to think about besides flowers and other designs. |
I started out with the Babylock Ellure Plus. Loved it but wanted a bigger sewing field so I up graded to a Babylock Elleago. Faboulous machine. Worth every penny I spent on it. Brother has a big sale going on now with lots of discounts. I took a class on the Invonnnis 6000. They have 36 months no interest. I think Allbrands had it for $219.00 a month. It is really a lot of fun. I have incorporated it into my quilting.
