Please call the local VA. They may have a contractor willing to do work for the spouses of the deployed.

Michelle Obama and Dr. Biden are creating a program of volunteers to help spouses and families of the deployed, so if your local VA got a heads up on that, then they just might be aware of someone willing to take care of that problem for you.

After the initial shock and chuckle (in the line of I'm glad it wasn't me) I suddenly realized how dangerous that is.

I can't imagine how that could have built up so soon.
If nothing else, it's a lesson learned to at least open things like that.
