To my fellow fb friends out there, how do you like the changes that have been made to the news feed? Personally, I find them very irritating and am glad that I have a board such as this to come to that doesn't seem to change every other day.

Not a fan of the change either. I seem to be spending more time on QB anyway.

Oh Gosh! I am so lost on FB now.

Heard my son complaining last night. I don't have a FB.

Wish they wouldn't change every time I turn around !

I'm not a fan of FB.

I started out confused, then learned my way around, then changes were made, and I learned my way around again......then the changes yesterday were just AWFUL! That news ticker down the side is enough to cause motion sickness! Apparently there were news stories about how much people don't like the recent changes.

if you go to your settings and change Language to uk english it will change back

That was a temporary fix yesterday. The US was switched to the new format before the UK was, and once the UK was switched over, the news ticker came back....

If it's not broke don't fix it, that's why I love this board.

Hey Glass! What is google plus? Never heard of it.

And I hate the changes at FB too. I don't go there often but yesterday was horrible.

Netflix is a paid service and any changes they do affect a service you are paying for. Facebook is free. It took me no time to get the hang of it and move on. Change is good.

Near as I can make out Google Plus is google's version of FB.

I like that you can sort your friends into groups, called circles, and pick who gets to read your posts. Still learning.

Guess we will all get use to it! I see t.v. is doing alot of advertising on how much people are disappointed. Maybe they will get the hint and change it back!

If you want to complain to Facebook, go to the upper right corner & click on the down arrow, then click on "Help Center", under the space where you enter a search phrase is a "Give Feedback", click on it and under the first sub-heading is "News feed", click on that & you can complain.

DIDN'T WORK FOR ME - FROM HELP CENTER HAD TO GO TO NEWS FEED THEN FEEDBACK - TOOK A BIT OF SEARCHING.

Lot's of people have posted their dislike for the new format, but sending a message directly to FB is probably a better idea.

Don't make any difference, love it or hate it, they ain't a gonna change it.

I'm not happy with the changes - don't understand a lot of them. I was just getting used to dealing with FB and then they change it. :( I haven't spent much time on the site lately except looking at some photos that were posted; don't think I'll use it much in the future. Gives me more time for QB - and more time for sewing. :lol:

I hate the new changes and have lost interest as I can no longer find my friends. What was going through their stupid minds!! :thumbdown:

FYI: According to CNN:
All Facebook user profiles will disappear within the next few weeks. They will be replaced by "Timelines".
It will be of a blog rather than a profile. It sounds like everything will be in real time.
If you accept say, the You Tube app, EVERYTHING you watch on You Tube will appear on your timeline. There will be no privacy at all ! :thumbdown:

My DIL was admonishing me for not joining FB. She said "everyone" is on FB". I said "wrong", not me and it won't be me either", I have my Quilting Board. She said, "well, that's just quilters". I said "exactly, and they are from all over the world"
But we can post pictures and live chat", says she. "So can we" says I. I think she finally got the idea, I am not going to join FB. Not now, not ever.

Admin does a wonderful job of keeping us informed of coming changes and helping us through the process of learning.

I'll stay with this and have never gone to facebook and really dont care to. I look for my mail and quick news and use this mostly for quilting forums. - J

Don't like the changes on FB either, and, now Yahoo is messing up with their new change, I haven't fiigured out how to get the bcc.

I agree with you. I do not like it and probably will not get on FB as often now.

Really dislike the changes to facebook.Am thinking about just backing off of it altogether except for the crazy quilt game.

I just hate what they are doing to Facebook , don't hardly even go there anymore.

I'll have to figure it out. DGS is on the short list for the 3rd time. Family keeps in touch with him through FB.
