Beating your head against the wall in repeated failures may be brave and show tenacity, but it could also be telling you that you are barking up the wrong tree, and should try something else!

For some people things do come easy for some of us it is a struggle - an old friend of mine was encouraging me to learn to do batik 30 years ago. He said we all start out not knowing what to do but if you do it enough and often enough you will get good at it. Of course my results were not the same as a graphic artist's but I was able to learn to do it, have some fun at it and like the results I got. No I did not stick with it - it was messy and expensive - lots of fun though.... HHHHMMMMM I wonder if I still have the tools...........

Failure gives us a chance to try again.

That's inspiring and encouraging, but looking at those pictures I can't help but feel thankful for missing out on some of those pains! If you mess up a quilt or algebra class at least it can't usually put you in the hospital or the morgue! :D

IMHO, failure is when you quit trying !!! You are absolutely NOT a failure if you kept at things all these years.
Congratulations to you & your mom (for not letting you give up).

I have always told our children, do the best you can and that is all that is expected. I also remind them, if they spend their lives trying to make everyone else happy, then their gonna have a miserable life. Follow your dreams and make yourself happy 1st. Within reason of course!

Like so many others, I always told our three kids to do the best they could do.
It isn't over until its over. Always time to get better at whatever you want.

Anybody can do anything once - it is getting good at it that takes practice.

My parents raised us to be honest, trustworthy people. Give it your all and don't quit just because something is hard.
Don't measure success by another person's ruler, use your own.

Be true to yourself, and you will never be a failure.
