Definitely more quilting in the summer when it is too hot to do anything outside.

Our seasons here are reversed with summers too hot to do anything useful outside. So my major sewing gets done then. Winters are for company and holidays. :-)

I read more outdoors in the summer & sew more indoors in fall & winter. I sew much more in Jan, Feb & March. Nothing else to do those months. Also fall sewing is Christmas gifts. Lately it has been cool & rainy here so my evenings have been in front of my machine.

Yes fall and winter make me want to quilt. I think probably beacuse of holidays and the weather.

I do more in the winter. I have so much to do in the spring and summer that it leaves little time to sew.

This I agree with. Just too da## hot in the Texas heat...

We have a long summer season and I don't like the heat and humidity so I'm indoors pretty much year around. I also quilt year around. This week my thought are toward Christmas, birthdays and a spring wedding of my Step Granddaughter.

The time for doing indoor work in this part of the world is summer, when it's hot as blazes outside. Needless to say, it's very hard to maintain an interest in quilting with no hint of cooler weather in the forecast for months to come. Probably I would take up making ice sculpture if I had any sense.

I quilt all the time. Probably more in the winter cuz I hate the cold.

I think it depends on your weather and life style. If you live where it snows then I would think fall and winter would be good sewing times. If you are in Arizona and it is 107 then perhaps summer is good stay in the air conditioning and sew weather.

I am in CA and I sew all year round...it just depends on what is going on...so it varies depending on company, travel, grandkids, etc.
