Mary Higgins Clark and so many more!!!!!How will we read all the books and make all the quilts in our life time. Can be overwhelming thinking about it but so much fun trying.

I've worked for 3 publishers Bantam Doubleday Dell, Random House and Simon & Schuster and see a surprisingly well represented group of authors from them among your faves. I met Mary Higgins Clark and her daughter Carol at an open house at our facility a couple of years ago. Mary is utterly charming and both are very down to earth and grateful for their success. I had a couple of books signed for my dad who is a closet Mary fan.

I go from one extreme to another. I love Nora Roberts, Debbie Macomber, and the Beverly Lewis Amish Stories!

I do not "read" per-say anymore as I do ALL my books
in audio format. I check them out from the library and
I download them to my iPod. I am NEVER without my trusted
iPod not even when I go to bed. This is my way of multi-tasking.

Since getting my iPod 2 years ago I have listed to OVER 400
audiobooks.

Now for my favorite author(s) they are:
Nora Roberts
Sandra Brown
Catherine Coulter
Fern Michaels
Janet Evanovich
Jayne Ann Krentz (more info about her below list)
Danielle Steel
Susan Elizabeth Phillips
and many others

Now for those who may NOT be familiar with Jayne Ann
Krentz; she also writes under the pseudonyms of
Amanda Quick & Jayne Castle. Her writings as Amanda
is based on the past (1800 etc), while writing as Jayne
Ann is based in modern day times, and writing as Jayne
Castle is based in the future.

If you like novels that offer mystique and can make you
almost believe in super natural "powers" or paranormal
elements than you will love her books.

I HIGHLY recommend her series books
The Arcane Society
Harmony
The Dreamlight Trilogy
Ghost Hunters

These are just to name a few of her series, Arcane
and Dreamlight are "multi author" series.

Enjoy

Diana Gabaldon with the Outlander series. I have them all.

I am currently reading Joanne Fluke's books. Am going to spend tomorrow baking some of the cookie and desert recipes. My neighbor just gave me ten of her books last week and I have already read four of them.

My favorite authors are on opposite ends of the spectrum. I love everything of John Jakes, but I couldn't write like him. Too much history to research.

And I've read and loved all of LaVyrle Spencer's books. But she's retired now, which is why I started writing my own books based on her style of incorporating real life along with touching love stories.

Marie Bostwick....Cobble Court series. I met her at a book signing in Ft. Worth and she is terrific.
I also am a fan of Sandra Brown & Larry McMurtrey.

My most favorite author is Lisa Jackson. I also like Heather Graham and Kathy Reichs. I usually bye every new book each of these authors write. I have also gone to used book stores to by older books, especially if I'm missing a particular book in a series.

Erlene Fowler is good. I really like her Benni HArper stories.

Janet Evanovich is another big favorite. Love her Stephanie Plum books.

Tony Hillerman is my most favorite though. I haven't read anything by him that I didn't enjoy. Set in New Mexico and the Navajo country. We took a vacation a couple summers ago and went from town to town he had talked about in his books. Was lots of fun actually seeing a lot of the things we had read about. Makes rereading the books more fun too.
