For the mystery buffs, I would like to recommend Louise Penny. Wonderful plot and character development, very readable. I would start with the first one because all of the recurring characters and setting are introduced. Great series.... highly recommended!

Hard to pick just one. However, the two books that I truly love are "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" by Carson McCullers and "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee and I liked both film adaptations of the books.

To grammajojo I love Debbie MacComnbe too, have you read her new book "A Turn in the Road.?" One of her best. I'll be looking for Emilie Richards, never read her. I so enjoy reading...........

My two most favorite are Leon Uris and Wilbur Smith. Uris writes alot about Israel and Smith write about Africa. Right now I'm on a true story kick. Just read Casey Tibbs life story, currently reading about a survivor of Aushwitz and also loved a book called Unbroken about a WWII prisoner of war, it was great!! I read Danielle Steel, Linda Lael Miller, Fern Michaels, I'm kind of all over the place with my reading. I read 2-3 books a week as I have a very boring job and can read at work.

Debbie Macomber is my current favorite.

I have several, sort of depends on mood....Ann River Siddons is one of my favorite, probably because she is from Atlanta Ga (as I am)and she writes a lot about the south....I worked for a law firm years back and her Dad was one of the lawyers.....I always wanted to ask if he had had read her books (some were rather steamy).

This week I read a book by Jennifer Chiaverini which is all about quilting...fiction of course !

I like Nora Roberts,Debbie MacComber, can't read Koontz or Stephen King.....spooks me out. I also like Mary Higgins Clark.......
