I don't watch movies very much. I don't know any latest movies.
I love the Christmas movies and It's A Wonderful Life. Some made for TV movies from years ago. I go for the feel good movies, love happy ending, hate horror movies.

tessagin 10-21-2013 10:20 AM

Too many to list and the ones that don't put me to sleep. Also anything less than 2 1/2 hours.

Ccorazone 10-21-2013 12:45 PM

Dolores Claborne and Shawshank Redemption ( both Stephen King movies)

ube quilting 10-21-2013 02:41 PM

This is really tough. My absolute all time favorite movie is Dolores Claiborne. I want Dolores on my side.
Then Gosford Park and a wonderful little English movie, The Summer House, a sweet little comedy which stars Jeanne Moreau and Joan Plowright. They are fabulous.

Blade Runner is another very favorite movie, Oh, and another one is Shirely Valentine, another English romantic comedy.

EDIT: I forgot Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, anything with Liz!

Edit: My DHs fav' is The Third Man staring Orson Wells and Joseph Cotton.

My favorite list is over 350 titles.:D Really! I love movies.
peace

All the Fred Astaire movies ae great. I also never pass up a chance to see "9 to 5", it is so funny. "Gone with the Wind", "Hello Dolly", too many great one to list.

My two favorites are Shawshank Redemption and the Green Mile..

Tothill 10-21-2013 09:31 PM

Me, my current and for a long time favourite movie is French Kiss with Meg Ryan. It is over 15 years old. Dh bought it on VHS for me and when the tape wore out he special ordered it on DVD for me. It is a simple romance.

DH's favourite movie is Zoolander. He can quote entire sections of the dialogue. He uses it when interviewing new hires. So far every geek he has hired knows the movie and has a favourite scene.

Recently I really enjoyed the Marigold Hotel one, cannot remember the whole name.

I am a big fan of Sherlock Holmes - love the old Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, but also love the new ones with Robert Downey, Jr. But so much depends on my mood when I sit down to watch a movie. Must admit I prefer the Black and White movies. Way too many to choose a true favorite.

Me too. I don't think there's many people who even know who Basil Rathbone is:). I am also enjoying the series "Elementary".....very well done indeed. My husband bought me a great boxed set of "Mystery Movies", including Bulldog Drummond and the fabulous Sherlock Holmes. I also got a great leatherbound collection of the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle....so I'm in Sherlock heaven:)
