We free feed, just leave a bowl of dry food out for her all the time. She is strickly an indor cat.

My fur son gets dry left out all the time. In the morning and evening he gets some wet which has to be made into a "soup". I put some wet food in his dish and heat 1 to 1-1/2 tablespoons of water. Mash the food and water together and stir until blended. Then he will eat it. He will only eat a pate type. This also gives him extra water as cats tend not to drink a lot.

My fatties, uh er furbabies, have free choice dry at all times as well as lots of water available.

I feed my cat Lizzy both. I use Nature's Balance (or is it Natural Balance?) There is always the dry available for her but once a week I give her the Natural Balance (or is it Nature's Balance?) wet food. If I gave her the wet all the time she would be way to fat.

Mine get both, dry and wet. Dry during the day and wet in the evening. Of course Bowser shares his dog food with them and they share thier cat food with him.

Our dog furbaby is DH's baby. He gets wet food in the am, people food at night and dry food all the time, when the birds aren't getting it.
My kitty furbabies are a bit different. They refuse to eat wet food. Reggie (20#) is over weight so the vet told me to mix kitten food with their reg food. Emmy (12#'s) get a little anxious if she can see the bottom of the food dish. I've been trying to cut back on how much I feed them Reggie won't eat treats either. They love tuna juice, but won't eat a bite of tuna. The vet hinted at them eating wet food, but didn't go into the why's which after reading this thread she had given me more info. I think I'll try wet food again.

Just in the evening about 5-6. Dry food. Every so often they will get an extra bowl. Heaven help us if we are late. :-)

I put food in bowls in the am and in the pm, but my cats free-feed themselves. I just keep an eye on the food bowls to make sure they have food. Both are not overweight, and they also get treats as I think they need them.

I have a very polite friendly MIKEY-THE-MOOCHER black and white male cat who is neutered and lives outside and mostly stays nearby my house and comes running, and meowing when I open the door. Then he gets a handfull of dry Purina, once a day, and usually eats it all right then. I don't leave food out because of the fire ants that get into it.
He makes the rounds of the neighbors, goodness knows what he gets....
He seems content and happy. He is a very companionable laid back cat. He doesn't come in, even when the door is open, for me, because I don't ask him to, but he does go in some of the other houses, especially if kids live there.
