You should have gone with him. Great and cheap fabric shopping around Lancaster!

Enjoy your time, he'll be home before you know it. I would love to have 5 days without having to cook, for some reason cooking has become a big chore for me.

I miss my DH when he's gone, too, but know what you mean about being able to do what you want when you want. One night when he was gone, I sat down at 11 and sewed on a binding until 12:30. Don't know what possessed me, but it felt good to get it on.

I get a lot of time alone to do what I want, if I want, with my DH's work & the travel it entails. I love it! Our together time is more special that way.

Generally, exercise is a good pick me up. Exercise every day and then have your "me" time. Try to enjoy your freedom. If that doesn't work, try guilting yourself (not quilting yourself although that might be fun). Think of all the military families who will be separated from each other this holiday season. Be sure to let him know how much you miss him. It's nice to be missed.

I feel better now that I know he got there safely...I always worry when he travels. In years past it was not uncommon for him to be gone one week out of every month, but with the economy he has been working at the local plant. Guess I just got out of the routine of business travel. I like my alone time, but I miss him, too.
I have been with him to Lancaster many times, and I would have loved to be able to go with him this time, but I have an appointment with my oncologist this week...time to start another round of immune treatments. Plus, someone's got to take care of the farm.

You could buy his christmas now and he isn't around to snoop! Have some fun sewing to all hours of the night and eat potato chips in the bed.... LOL!

Just do what I do when my DH is on assignment with FEMA and out of the state for months, consider it your vacation time.
