FINGER MONKEYS Do you believe this?

Finger Monkeys

Enjoy! If it weren't for the Internet... Would you have ever seen or have known about these little creatures? They are way too cute!
https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&i...15&disp=emb&zw
They are native to rain-forests of Brazil , Peru , Bolivia , Ecuador and Colombia . (Source: Buzzle)
Finger monkeys are, as a matter of fact, pygmy marmosets.
They are also known by the names "pocket monkey"and "tiny lion".
This cute little primate hugs and grips on to your finger so tight that it pulls your heartstrings and you wish you could take it home with y ou.
Finger Monkeys
The finger monkey is the tiniest living primate in the world.
It's so small that it can hold on to your finger.
These primates belong to the family Callitrichidae, species Cebuella and genus C. Pygmaea.

Dang it! Now I want a monkey. They're really cute.

butterflywing 01-22-2012 07:03 PM

mine! mine!

gramajo 01-22-2012 07:40 PM

 They're adorable. My daughter needs a pair. She has a mini-zoo/farm with the usual dogs, cats and fish tank along with dwarf goats, a miniature horse, rabbits, chickens & ducks. She's had guinea pigs and hedgehogs. She wants a pot-bellied pig, but her husband won't let her. I have a lot of grandanimals & a couple of finger monkeys would be great additions. :D My GS and GD would love to have more cousins.

LadyElisabeth 01-22-2012 08:13 PM

Same for me, only the red x's but the one picture I could see. They are so tiny.

happymrs 01-22-2012 09:10 PM

Oh my, how tiny, & how precious! Another one of God's miracles, how amazing! Thanks for sharing!

Aurora 01-23-2012 07:17 AM

Those are beautiful.

mhansen6 01-23-2012 07:58 AM

Are these full grown or infants? Some look like they barely have their eyes open.

quiltingfan 01-23-2012 08:02 AM

The joke in our house is that my DH wants to buy me a monkey when the kids leave the house. I keep telling him no way but I would take a couple of those. They look so cute and not dangerous at all. Beth

Snooks 01-23-2012 08:03 AM

I'm with QuiltMania. I want one - how cute & it would be sooooo cute with my FW!!!!!

damaquilts 01-23-2012 09:52 AM

They are cute . But to me they look the best right where they belong in the rain forest.

Snorky Lvs2Quilt 01-23-2012 11:32 AM

Awwwwwww. I only got the one pic further down. What adorable little fellas!!

nena 01-23-2012 11:33 AM

Never heard of them before. How adorable.

CMARAS1234 01-23-2012 10:55 PM

i think they were Sea Monkeys that you saw in the old magazines. You could send away for them and then put them in water to see them grow, kinda like shrimp.

nancia 01-24-2012 05:03 AM

their cuteness will probably be their greatest threat. i imagine they are sold on the black market and imported illegally. they need to be left in the wild where they belong and not brought into people's homes. now, if you really, really, want one, i'm sure they'd be willing to share their tree with you. what? not comfortable in their home? what makes you think they would be comfortable in yours?

JabezRose 01-24-2012 05:09 AM

AHA! Last one looks like a little Chewbacca from Star Wars, I knew he was real. . . . .

Sew N Tune 01-24-2012 12:53 PM

Sew Cute. I want one in every color, and there's even an Ewok one there. Thanks sew much for sharing.

lfstamper 01-24-2012 12:55 PM

so tiny and CUTE!

Yooper32 01-25-2012 03:15 AM
