Take your measurements - look at the size charts in the pattern book - pick out one that is closest to what your dimensions are.

Pattern sizing and ready-made sizing do not always match. Believe the pattern sizing numbers - especially a fitted Vogue!

Good job. A lot of stores now carry easy to sew patterns and they are cheap as well. I'm making 18in doll clothes for my DGKids for Christmas, I really need to get started. Now that I have the Brother scan n cut I can put the patten pieces in and let the machine cut the fabric so that should help speed up the process. My grandson and I are going to find some of that clingy stuff this weekend and then make the Halloween decorations that stick to the windows using it.

Wanted to add, when checking the size, also check the measurements for each size as well. While clothes manufactures have started making our clothes smaller ( at least the size label) to help some egos I assume the patterns havent changed. Just because I can buy a 4 or 6 in a pair of pants that probably would be an 8 or 10 for a pattern so check the measurments. Plus it also tells you what fabric works the best for the outfit and then use the grain lines (the ones with arrows) on the pattern pieces to show you which way to place it on the fabric to get the best results.

Why I love this board! I hadn't thought of this, but what a great idea. The edges on the jacket are not finished. But if you pieced and quilted the pieces, you could use binding to finish the edges!
