GREAT news!

Well now they have changed their minds. They are still not sure how many are still missing because they are still getting phone calls from people looking for family members.

I guess it's going to take a while to get an accurate count.

Marsye--I too am glad that you weren't camping there when this happened.

Well. today it's our turn. It's raining here in Oklahoma City at the rate of 7 inches in about 4 hours and no let up in sight. Cars stalled in high water, people on the roofs of their cars. I'm glad I can stay at home. We live in Yukon, about 6 miles west so we have had 2 1/2 to 3 inches hers. It's worse east in the city. I hope they don't have too many more found over there. If whole families washed away, they might not be missed for several days.

Mother Nature can be so cruel. I often think she must be so angry at us for what we've done to this beautiful earth she gave us.

We are having horrible flooding here. cars completely covered and people being rescued. It's a good thing this isn't mountainous country or we would be in bad shape. 4 inches here so far and 9 inches in Ok.City. one area is being evacuated due to a dam about to break. guess this will take care of the dry spell we were having. I just feel so bad for people who are waiting to have roofs replaced because of big hail storm a few weeks ago. They are now having ceilings getting wet etc. You know that old saying "When it rains it pours"? it's true.....

I'm so sorry to hear this. Another natural disaster that no one can predict or stop. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone. Terrible about the property damage, but more importantly hope there are no fatalities. Be safe!

The weather continues to be strange after a cold winter in most of the country. Last night, I was on the phone with DDIL. She's in VA where it was 94 & humid. I'm in CT where it was 65 and raining. I'm still wearing turtlenecks, sweatshirts & warm pants. In a day or 2 I'll be in shorts & Tshirts. We can practically HEAR the grass growing.
