I always put tape on my barcode (labels printed on a deskjet) - what to do if it rains or otherwise gets wet? the ink just disappears into a great big puddle of nothing readable. I've never had a package returned or a customer complain and I've shipped alot using Paypal/eBay shipping label creators. I've also used USPS to print labels and done the same thing. Never any complaint - not even from the postal workers who took my pre-posted packages.

The last time I sent something in the FR envelope the Postmaster helped me stuff it in & hold it shut while we closed the flap then added tape. It was buldging to the max.

you can call for a pickup from your home they will come the next day with a slip of papet with mthe number of packages that need to be picked up

I would never trust the adhesive on FRE or FR boxes. I always reinforce with my tape. Esp. if you are putting something "not flat" in the envelope, it is hard to press against the glue strip all the way.

I can relate to sitting on the box to tape it shut! It's amazing what you can stuff into a box! :) |
I used to carry the quilt to the PO and the clerk there cheerfully stuffed it into the box, tighter than I would have. I would have used the next size larger....
I was happy to have his help, however. WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT THE POST OFFICE? |

our PO wasn't too up on that rule as I sent one buldging at the seams and they accepted it.....
