I beleive the moles are coming to your yard because of grubs in the ground, they are feeding on them. Find a way to get rid of the food supply and the moles will not have an interest in your yard. Suggesting a farm chemical supply store for ways to get the grubs. It works in our area.

Our little Jack Russell "Beany Boy" and his new little (ha ha) brother "Hobo" seem to have solved our problem with the moles!! They bring them to me after they have exterminated them. Other than that I have tried the moth balls, juicy fruit gum in the hole, some stuff from the local garden center that cost an arm and a leg but none of them have worked except the two boys above. My parents used pinwheels in the yard. When the wind would blow them, it caused vibrations in the ground and they move away. They used the heavy plastic ones with metal poles. Good luck!

Have your local lawn service put down a grub treatment a couple of times a year. Get rid of the grubs, gets rid of the moles, that is what they are after.

Best thing that we have used is a Sweeney's Plunger Trap. Never see the critter in the end as we just pull up the trap and critter get buried in the ground after it get's spiked by the trap.

I am totally organic, I use chocolate X-Lax, it is safe for children and pets, will not affect or kill the plants in your yard.
Use a rod to poke a hole into the tunnel, use pliers or something to drop a piece of the laxative into the tunnel.
Push the soil back over the hole you made with a trowel.
Never touch anything with your hands.
This doesn't kill them, but it runs them off.
I have to redo mine every 3-4 years, work great.

HAIR - gobs of LONG HAIR

the animal is blind - crawls right into the gob of hair and can't get untangled and ends up clawing himself to death . . . hehehehehehehe

Ask your beauty shop to save you all their hair clippings for a day or two. Provide the closed container to them.

Our cat is working on it, but I think rodent reproduction is ahead of her. They are really active this year, too, in my flower beds!

We had a mole problem, then we got a puppy (mutt) found out that she was part rat terrier when I went to check on her in the back yard. I had a long crater where the tunnel used to be. :shock: :shock: :evil: We are talking many feet of long craters. No it didn't get rid of the moles, they just went to the front yard.

When I checked with the extention agent last year when we had moles he said to throw out grub & insect killer granules because that's what the moles were after. It seemed to work & this year I did it early.
My cat's 18 and no help at all!
