Getting soft covered books spiral bound

Greetings...I recently bought a wonderful quilting book that's in soft cover. I intend to use it a lot. Coincidentally, at the same time as the book arrived I happened upon some older posts where quilting board members said that they got books for a project they were working on, and took them out to be bound. Would any of you know where I can get this done, and approximately how much it costs? I'd appreciate your feedback.

It can be done at Staples, in the print and copy center; or at Kinko's.

I would think that any print shop could cut the spine off and insert the spiral binding. I had some done for about $4 each, but that has been enough years ago that I'd expect it to cost much more now.

I have many of my books spiral bound but it has been awhile since I've done a new one. It used to be $3.00 to $5.00 per book to have them done. Now I am told they charge about the same but there is an extra charge to have the spine cut off so the holes can be punched for the spiral piece. Check with any office supply store such as Office Max(that is where I have mine done). Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the speedy replies. I'll be off to Staples in the morning! This board is the greatest!! :)

Yep any copy shop. make sure your pages have room for the holes to be punched into without losing any of the printed data.

I took mine to the local Staples. I had to undo all the pages before they would do it. Cost was mini amount £7. But a good job done.

I have also had the cover laminated

My guild has a great deal with the local printers. They will do all guild members soft covered books for $1 each. All we have to do is be on the members list that they have. If a printer has the cutter and binding machine not being used much then the only cost is the spiral for them.

Just had a quilting book done at Staples last Friday, and it was just over $4.00. No extra charges for anything else. Done in about five minutes.
