Think about it, wouldn't colors from this bird make a lovely quilt?!

Lol great picture.

I have a couple of blue jay stories to tell.

There is a blue jay I have watched in our yard for the last 3 years or so. I'm not sure if he's pals with a certain squirrel, or if it's different squirrels. But he'll hop around the yard, following the squirrel, until the squirrel finds the perfect spot to bury his nut. After the squirrel leaves, the jay digs up the nut and takes it away. He does this for hours, just following the squirrels around all day. I always giggle, wondering what the squirrel thinks when he goes to retrieve his nuts and finds his stash empty.

My sister-in-law had a foreign exchange student from Austria. One day the student starts yelling for my sil to come quickly. She ran down the stairs, thinking something was wrong. The student pointed out the window and wanted to know what kind of rare bird it was, she had never seen something so beautiful. It was an ordinary blue jay, lol. Made me think quite a bit about what we take for granted in our lives.

Aren't they beautiful? But they are stinkers, ours are huge and they fight off the other little birds and they make such a mess at the feeder.

Nice photo, usually by the time I get the camera they are gone.
