Jays are so much fun and they also do good as they make so much noise when a predator is around they warn all the other birds. We used to "hide" peanuts outside our pool house in south Florida. One would come, find one, fly away, hide the nut, return. Then he'd try to take two at once and end up dropping them. Then he'd fly out into the yard land, drop the peanut and cover it with a leaf. So funny. Then we would retrieve some of the stash and rehide them. What inexpensive entertainment.

they hide some of the nuts in our yard and cover them with leaves and the crows go hunting to find them now.so much fun to watch them all.

That's adorable. My greedy bird story is about a wonderful local crow who every time DH would tear up old bread to put out for the birds, I would count how many pieces DC would stuff into its' beak. The highest # was eleven. I have an old picture of DC and it looks like a bread headed bird. :D Birds are so wonderful to watch. Thanks for bringing that great memory yo mind, W33.
peace
