That says it all

butterflywing 01-27-2010 04:10 PM

that sure captures my feelings this season.

2wheelwoman 01-27-2010 04:11 PM

That suicidal snowman is just too cute. I, too, am tired of winter, though in Southern California that just means the buckets and buckets of water we've been getting. Flooded part of my house. I kind of miss the snow (used to live in Washington State), but when I see so much of it in pictures from you ladies, I rethink it.

liblueeyes 01-27-2010 04:12 PM

so sick.. but so funny.... made me laugh out loud.... Calling for snow here again this weekend. I hope not a lot................

I just took this picture out my back door. January 27, 2010.

We are in the northeast of Canada (for those of you have never heard of us) and ALL the weather systems since 2010 came in are passing us by. Hope it stays this way!

My own pictures of our recent ice storm. Many in some counties still without power. We were soooooooooo.....fortunate here near Des Moines.

I had had enough winter by October!!!

SherriB 01-27-2010 05:54 PM

I am more than ready for winter to be over!!! But no such luck for us. We are expecting a winter storm this weekend. It always seems to hit on my weekend to work. Yuck to driving in snow!

drivingsusan 01-27-2010 05:59 PM

Yes, it is most definatly time for winter to be over!!

(not my house - see dakotamaid's house above)

littlehud 01-27-2010 07:59 PM

I agree with mister snowman. I've had enough.

MissTreated 01-27-2010 08:06 PM

As have I. I'd like it to be over. Sent in my time card at work and included a little drawing of a melting snowman. Got an email back, I was dreaming....

deedum 01-27-2010 08:27 PM

Yep, got more snow again today! Better snow than ice that we recently had. I am ready for spring!

wvdek 01-27-2010 08:46 PM

We're expecting a foot more starting Friday.
We had flooding Sunday and Monday.
Just glad we have not had the ice storms.

Another good reason to get a treadle.

craftybear 01-27-2010 10:47 PM

Yes,

I am ready for some warm weather. You know the sun would be nice to see. It is still snowing and windy in Indiana, USA and we are getting more tonight.

Karen

blahel 01-28-2010 04:31 AM

i will blow some hot air your way! We have had 37 degrees celsius for 2 days now and they have just forecast 37 degrees again tomorrow. Poor plants are really suffering...

Hi, Mamagus! Yes, I know where you are! My mother's people come from Little Bay Island. Ever heard of it?

As for the weather passing you by... here in New England, we get most of the weather that comes across the States. Right now we're in our "January thaw" where we're in the 40's. Makes it dangerous -- people forget that it's been warm enough to melt the ice on the ponds. I figure we have two more months of yuck before I'll see my crocuses.

LindaR 01-28-2010 06:08 AM

if I had any say it would end directly after christmas

QuiltingGrannie 01-28-2010 06:12 AM

I've had enough and they are calling for 4 - 8 inches more tomorrow night (Fri into Sat) with up to a foot in the mountains. Northeastern TN! Time to stock up on fabric and hope the power doesn't go out. lol

flikkem 01-28-2010 06:16 AM

Great picture-plan to share it with our friends in Maine! They said they can finally see out their kitchen window.

BeachBirdie 01-28-2010 06:41 AM

We are finally getting some snow this weekend!!! I know, you are saying I'm crazy but we very rarely get snow so it's pretty big deal around here. As soon as I see one flake of snow I turn into a 5 year old. I love it!!!

It is snowing right now BUT the seed catalogs have come in!!!

gloryj8 01-28-2010 11:24 AM

I'm starting to feel like that snowman

Roberta 01-28-2010 01:29 PM

Wow, lucky you. We're in central Maine and have a storm upon us right now and flooding from ice jams in the river.

My DH father was from Newfoundland. Maybe we should think about moving there. ;-)

Debbie1 01-28-2010 02:03 PM

That picture made me laugh! I sometimes miss the snow, so I love seeing the pictures!

Greendragon6889 01-28-2010 05:55 PM

We don't get much snow since we moved from NY to here but were sopposed to get 5 to 9 inches tomorrow morning till Sat. morning...I'm way over winter...

craftybear 01-28-2010 06:03 PM

Yes, I am tired of winter! I am ready for some nice warm weather at least above 50 degrees I would take that anytime and no complaints. I am tired of hearing the furnace kick on and off.

We should all make a snowman wall hanging that would be fun!

Karen

Judith 01-30-2010 11:05 AM

Definitely! Take comfort in knowing that when your spring comes, ours is still about six weeks to two months behind in Canada! By then I will be REALLY sick of winter!

charvan 01-30-2010 12:38 PM

Boy, am I ever ready for this to be over! Glad we didn't get the ice they had predicted, but did get more snow this morning. I am so ready for spring.

Bailey's mom 01-30-2010 12:39 PM

That is awesome!!!!

Glad we didn't get what Flagstaff got!!! Thankfully no ice storm or power outages. Have over 6 inches and that's already melting, now the slush! Everyone stay warm and safe.

QuiltingGrannie 01-30-2010 02:52 PM

Snow here, but not as much as they predicted. HOWEVER ---- it's snowing again! I am so ready for spring. I look forward to seeing the first Robin - my sign of Spring that usually shows up in February!(The robin shows up in Feb, spring still takes a while.)

I am in Western NC. We had 8 inches of snow last night. And the moon was full and REALLY BIG! It was beautiful. It started to snow again this afternoon, just after I cleaned off my car! I will try to attach a photo. It was taken on my cell phone, hope it shows up. Stay warm! Blessings, Spring

Occasionally we'd have a winter like yours, Mamagus, but not this year! We've had snow ever since late November/early December and had to finish taking the crop out almost in the snow! Later tonight and into Thursday we are in a forecast for some freezing rain changint to snow by Thursday night...talk about Yuck!
