here's my distraction, my grandson Greyson. He was born May 22 and I haven't been able to get a thing done in my sewing room. The problem is, he has a cousin, Samuel, who was born on May 17 but lives in VA. I am excited to say we will be going down there in July to finally meet him and see his big brother but I have to finish his quilt before we go. I just can't refuse going over to see Greyson at every chance I get.

Congrats to you, Grandma! What a fine, handsome boy. He looks pretty fascinated by you also.

Tink's Mom 06-18-2011 06:37 AM

Isn't he a sweetie??? I can understand your delimma...

amma 06-18-2011 06:37 AM

Awwww what a precious little guy :D:D:D

Rebecca VLQ 06-18-2011 06:38 AM

Oooo...he's so YUMMY!!! :D :D :D

I'd take a sewing hiatus to snuggle him, too!

saf 06-18-2011 06:38 AM

I sympathise with your problem. Only solution, recruit him as helper. You can never start too early

alikat110 06-18-2011 06:39 AM

He's adorable!!! Can see why you are so easily distracted!

sweet 06-18-2011 07:25 AM

Forget the sewing, I would enjoy watching and playing with him! :)

emerald46 06-18-2011 07:42 AM

He is adorable. I'd let the sewing and the dust bunnies collect with him nearby! Congrats and enjoy!

S D G 06-18-2011 08:02 AM

So cute. Give him a hug and kiss from me while you are at it.

Painiacs 06-18-2011 08:51 AM

Soo cute! I waant one!!!!

MrsM 06-18-2011 02:38 PM

I don't blame you in the least. Enjoy him!

purrfectquilts 06-19-2011 04:41 AM

Wow, he is very alert, isn't he and cute as can be. Congratulations! I would have trouble focusing on something else too.

Ramona Byrd 06-19-2011 06:51 AM

Congratulations on the new one, he's sure a cutie. And they grow up so fast...

Don't forget to take Samuel's brother something, big brothers and sisters seem to get the short shaft when presents are concerned.

soniboo 06-19-2011 07:04 AM

He's a cutie and sure needs gramma kisses and snuggles. You've definitely got your priorities right; sewing can wait :D

smagruder 06-19-2011 08:00 AM

So many kissable parts. I fully understand your dilema. I don't get to so much anymore due to my sweet Lily, born October 1st. I watch her three days a week and I do mean WATCH her. She is just amazing. She smiles and giggles all the time... Such a happy little girl. Being a grandparent is the BEST.

lillybeck 06-19-2011 09:23 AM

Just look at hi. No wonder you cannot resist him.

pugmom 06-19-2011 09:55 AM

He is absolutely the handsomest little person I have ever seen. His little face would be chapped by too many kisses if he were mine.

Mona Lisa 2011 06-19-2011 10:02 AM

YES, reading this newsletter everyday. I just love it!

Margie 06-19-2011 10:27 AM

He would definitely distract me! Adorable...God bless him.

decky 06-19-2011 01:09 PM

what a cutie, love those fat chubby cheeks. I call my youngest grandson who is 4, Mr. Fat Cheeks, he still has that baby fat. But then he calls me girl grandpa or just grandpa.

Blinkokr 06-19-2011 02:25 PM

What a beautiful baby, looks to really be paying attention for so young.
Have a Blessed day
Ellen

munchkinmama 06-19-2011 03:32 PM

He will only be a baby once so enjoy it now.

Samuel's big brother, Seth, won't be left out. As a matter of fact, I am going to take my embroidery machine with me so he can see how I am going to make his "I'm the big brother" shirt. I try to think of something we can do together each day I am there.

coachmatthewsvhs 06-19-2011 04:59 PM

some things/grandkids are just more fun than quilting. Enjoy Greyson.... he'll be grown way too soon!!

coachmatthewsvhs 06-19-2011 05:01 PM

crafty_linda_b 06-19-2011 05:04 PM

mamabear229 06-19-2011 05:06 PM

Don't have any grandbabys yet, but this site has been my DISTRACTION..LOL!

Grandma Peg 06-19-2011 05:41 PM

Congrats grandma! What a great distraction.

connie d 06-19-2011 05:43 PM

Isn't he adorable. How fortunate to have such a beautiful grand baby.:):):)

judyyoungs 06-19-2011 08:06 PM

What a cutie. Congrats. I probably wouldn't be sewing either.

nancia 06-19-2011 10:39 PM

maybe he could be your mini-inspector and come over and stay in your quilting room with you while you work. his mom could come, too, in case he needs anything while he's there. he could sit up on your sewing table to geta first hand eye to eye lesson. it could work?!!! at least we know he won't run with scissors!
btw, he's gorgeous!

delma_paulk 06-20-2011 09:35 AM

What a precious cutie!!
Enjoy him!

sisLH 06-20-2011 10:05 AM

Heck with the sewing -Hold him til he's 18!

Quilt4u 06-20-2011 10:20 AM

I can understand He's a cutie and sure needs gramma kisses and snuggles who would not be SO DISTRACTED. You just have to make some time though.

OneMoreQuilt 06-20-2011 10:20 AM

Congratulations!!! I understand completely!!! I used to put my grandson in a playpen near my longarm, when he was old enough to sit up and play I included a piece of fabric in with his toys. Later, we hung the Johnny Jump-up by the machine.....Now my grandson is eight years old. His trains and Legos are are there and he loves to help me quilt! He doesn't live with me anymore but I love how easily we resume our schedule when he visits.

ging10ging 06-20-2011 03:02 PM

Oh he's to cute. I wouldn't get anything done either. Congrats to you he's sweet. Sue

Quiltinggma-nc 06-20-2011 04:53 PM

He is absolutely adorable. I can see why you would get distracted. Grandbabies are so much fun.

Taughtby Grandma 06-20-2011 06:54 PM

I can't think of a better distraction! When my grand daughter comes over, all I want to do is play.

Dee 06-20-2011 08:17 PM
