I don't recall it ever being on a computer keyboard. I know it was on typewriters back in the day...

I have been typing since the 1970's. Never knew there was a "cent" key before. Have not really needed it.

I can't remember where it used to be. On the 2, perhaps, where the @ is now?

59¢ yup that worked but much easier to just type cents.

type the 59 or any other amount of cents you want, then press the alt key, holding it down and type the 0162 on your numeric keypad. then you have to let go of the alt key. the cent symbol then appears.

You have to go to "symbols" and insert it, if you use it a lot, make a quick key for it...but $.0 works too.
