I buy glasses online. The dr. will give you your prescription and you can order online for 1/4 the price. I've never had any trouble with customer service or quality. I have used several online glass lens business. I asked someone in the eyeglass dept at Walmart if she would measure my glasses size and she did. Ask when they aren't busy. She even fitted the glasses for me when I got them. I buy new glasses a lot, I like different styles of frames. It is so much cheaper online. I wear no line bifocals too.

I'm hoping to get there today to have them checked out. I put my old ones on this morning but from having to do so much driving yesterday my left eye is red and very sore today. I know it's eye strain.

They just don't sound right. I'm glad they are going to fix them for you.

Well, I've been to Walmart and they said, "Nope the lenses are ground right, must be the wrong prescription." So now I have to drive back into town Monday to go back to the doctor. Meanwhile I'm wearing my old glasses.

This happened to me one time, not a Walmart, but the Dr. office. The lens had been rotated to the wrong side!

That happened to me once, and ever since, I go to a doctor that has an optician to make the glasses. I have been glad once, but it was a $275 mistake. It cost me nothing, of course.

Went to a new eye Dr. 3-4 years ago, he threw my glasses in the trash and gave me a $10.00 pair of reading glasses. He said if I continued down that road I would never be without glasses 24/7. Now I only use them for reading and sewing. Just took my drivers visual and aced it. Up until then I bought glasses every 2 years for 30 years.

Laughter has been said to be the best medicine.

Today is the last day that I have to work on a costume for a play tomorrow night at church. So I cut it out and sat down at my vintage Singer to get it done. Black fabric, black machine, dark cabinet---I couldn't see what I was doing. I got up, turned on the light to my left, turned on the light to my right and started sewing again. I couldn't see. So, I pulled open not only the curtains but also the sheers and started sewing again. I still can't see what I'm doing. At this point I'm just sewing along sort of guessing where I'm at and getting more frustrated by the minute. I'm almost in tears! My eyes, my eyes! They're deteriorating every second it seems! Then I realized that I hadn't turned on the machine's light. LOL Once I turned it on I could see fine. Now I'm wondering which is going to be gone first, my eyes or my mind. LOL
