boric acid is a powder you get at you pharmacy and it will kill them and roaches...Maybe not at first but it does work if left at the basebords and cabnets fora while. They walk in it carry it back to their nests and die...

We don't use it by our backyard pond. Seems to work MUCH better than sprays.
It's now against the law to sell Diazinon.

Be SUPER careful with Sevin, its DEADLY to fish.

Are they little black stinky ant? Argentine ants? if so, they are hard to get rid of, they are trying to find water/moisture, the baits we got did not work at all, we bombed which made it 100x worse, there is a spray my dads tenant buys for around 8.00 a can and it works wonders but I dont know the name of it, sorry, I will try to remember to get the name for you.

we have a product here in England called Nippon, and it's brilliant, you just put a few drops on a piece of card, and within minutes there are loads of ants round it, they take it bback to the nest and hey presto, all dead, fab stuff, i got my last lot on Ebay

I have tried Terro, and Borax. and still they keep coming back.
I appreciate any suggestions.

I live in a area that has a huge ant problem. Tried all of the ant products also. Stepson was visiting and they travil a lot with a fifth wheel. He sprinkles comet around any area that comes in contact with the ground, and it keeps them out.I crawled under my house and coated everything with comet 4 years ago I no longer fight the nasty ants. :D
I renew the comet every couple of years just in case.

After a week of a black string in my kitchen, my pest man told me to get a spray bottle and use white vinegar in it an d spray everywhere. They were in my pantry, cabinets and bathroom. I was frantic, Vinegar to the rescue!

I've tried most of the natural ways to get rid of unwanted house insects. Some seem to control them a little but none worked to get rid of them. Now to get rid of the horseflies!

I'VE USED CORMEAL, COCO WHEAT, MALT O MEAL. ANY IF THOSE WORK REALLY WELL. I ALSO MAKE A TRAIL OF IT OUTSIDE IN THE AREA THAT THEY SEEM TO BE COMING IN. IT IS AMAZING AND SAFE FOR PETS IF THEY HAPPEN TO GET INTO IT OR MOST ESPECIALLY FOR OUR LITTLE ONES IF THEY'D GET INTO THE AREA IT IS DOWN ON IN THE HOUSE....... GOOD LUCK, THIS REALLY WORKS. I HAVE USED THIS METHOD ANY TIME I HAVE ANTS.....

sprinkle cinnamon over their path. The cinnamon kills the scent trail, which confuses the ants and they disperse for parts unknown.

It is messy, but it works. I guess you could find some cinnamon scented oil and do the same thing, and it wouldn't be as messy.

We sprinkle some cinnamon at all the doors to the house periodically, because that seems to be their easiest way in the house. Probably because we drop so many crumbs if we're eating when we go out the door!
