They say hornet spray is great protection. The spray goes far and smells.

Back years ago when we were in base housing in GA there was a peeping Tom running loose in the housing area who actually came in my kitchen while I was asleep in the recliner in the living room having gone to sleep nursing DS #5. I woke up and in my best motherly tones asked him what he thought he was doing. He ran out of there like a shot! Turned out he was a teenager from the next cul de sac over and his parents got banned from base housing. I did have heebee jeebees whenever I saw anyone with his build for several years afterwards.

My husband collects railroad builders plates. They are made of brass. We couldn't carry one on an airplane so they may good for a weapon. They are hanging all around the house so readily available.

I like the rotary cutter idea. I think in our state, I'd get in as much trouble as the thief.

Would you do that?

In a heartbeat. Then call the dogs. Oh, I mean police.

My sewing machine is too precious, but the iron is close by!

We are all a tough bunch of mamas. Don't mess with our house or our stuff. First thing I do is lock door when I come inside & I live in a small town in Texas. Too many weirdos around these days.

Don't you think those frontier women knew how to use a rifle? Or a cast iron skillet? Or a handy fire poker, etc. Weaker sex, my aunt Fanny.
