I do this, but keep it DRY...the liquid seems to sour/mold easily here in OK.

Same ingredients, just NO water at all.
I use ZOAT as the grated soap!

but how much of the dry do you use per load?

Does this work in the HE washers? Same amount or less?

just a normal scoop I kept from my old soap bucket..which I used to put the home made soap in...
I measured it and it is less than 1/2 cup.

I have made the liquid for a while now, I like the idea of the powder though, I have a front loader, so my question is do you just put it in with the cloths,or in the dispenser?

At this site there is a step-by-step illustration on making this soap. It works great, smells wonderful and best of all, is cheap, cheap, cheap. Aside from the bucket w/lid required (to be used over and over), ingredients will cost you about $5 total.
