Here in NE Texas we woke up to 60's and about noon the cold front blew in and dropped the temp about 15-20 degrees.

I am in Lafayette, Louisiana and I believe our high was 80 degrees or near that. Everyone was wearing shorts today for their after dinner walk.

I guess you wouldn't like to hear that today in Florida it wasw in the 80's and we turned on the A/C.

I think it was about 74 degrees when we got up. A beautiful day, short sleeve weather, I love it. I am too old for cold weather.

kdid82 11-25-2010 05:17 PM

it was -5 with a wind chill, high today was only 18 but the wind was awful; have 5" of snow on the ground

The only thing I can see good about cold weather is more quilting time.

galvestonangel 11-25-2010 05:49 PM

My DH came in and said it was going to get cold tomorrow, down in the 50's.

You people who think that temperatures in the freezing or zero range are too cold and uncivilized need to spend some time in the far northern part of his country where -6oF is nsot unusual. We dress for it, as you should. Inconveniences occur, such as cars not starting, or the wind has blown the snow against the door so that you must dig out, but everyone copes, go to a neighbor's house to talk about it over coffee. Put our skiies on, or our skates, and take off. Winter is a delightful time of the year. So much to do outside and inside.

I woke up to about 75 degrees this morning, however, we are to get our first freeze sometime today, down to 33 degrees. It will be back up in the 70's by Sat. thank the Lord. I don't like the cold. :) :)

I can take the cold temp but the wind is what I do not like. Brrrr It just seems to cut to the bone. I think the high here today was in the low 40's. I do like the cold temp because it freezes out the bugs, flies, & germs. Guess we must take the good wth the bad (110 degrees) & all of the in between. LOL Happy Thanksgiving Night to all.
