Yep that's just how it was when I grew up.

Here in MN we had a young girl commit suicide because of postings on Facebook and e-mails that she was ugly and fat. I saw her picture and she wasn't but young and innocent. If people had to face her and say the things they did about her on Facebok and e-mail, they never would. It is so easy to say hurtful things over the internet. And not to stop spouting there --- I wonder what has happened to punctuation, spelling, and grammar. It sure isn't used anymore.

My husband says his sister used to do that and used baby oil for shaving her legs!

I REMEMBER THOSE TIMES. LOVED THEM. WISH I COULD FIND THEM AGAIN. A NICE SMALL TOWN THAT WAS STILL IN THE OLD TIMES.

This is a neat thread. I think I will make a couple of little books with a whole bunch of these ideas and probably a few more that will come to mind. I have a couple of grandchildren that I think will enjoy them. I have a time capsule in a large Popcorn can as a time capsule for our family for when we pass. It has all sorts of things packed in it.

I remember rainy days when we would get all the quilts and spread them over chairs and tables to make a "house" in the front room. In we would go with dolls and teddy bears, and stay until the storms passed. Maybe that is why I quilt.

I remember having diptheria and laying on the couch propped on pillows and covered with quilts. Mom made eggnog with home grown raw eggs - Oh! the horror! - and I laid there under quarantine for about 2 weeks. More good quilt memories!
