I usually buy candies that I like for Trick or Treaters. That way if any are left over, I can eat them. (Stay home this year, kids!) I bought the fun size bars of Snickers for them this year. My problem is that I don't know how many to give out. One doesn't seem like enough and more might deplete my supply before the night is over.
How many do you give out to each kid? |
If it is a small candy bar I think one is plenty. If it is smarties or something small I usually give more. Have fun!

If you are in a populated area, I think one is plenty - multiply that times all the houses visited and kids end up with enough to make any dentist happy.
If you are in a out of the way area a couple may be in order If you run out hit the stores the next day when it is all 1/2 priced & you'll still have some for you. LOL |
Here out in the country we give more as people have to drive from house to house and do not get to that many places in town it is one small candy bar or several smaller pieces of candy. We also do not have a lot of trick or treaters. This year I am giving juice boxes and a small candy bar.

I give two per child. We do not have that many children in our subdivision.

If I give the small candy bars, I only give one. If I get a mixture of smaller pieces of candy, I give 2.

No help from me! All the small children in our area are grown and gone so the only little ones we get are the 3 grands we have local, we are always there last stop and Mom usually has a cup of tea with me while the 3 raide PaPa's candy stash.
