Can you identify whether these ten e-mails are legit or whether they're phishing for your personal information?

I would disagree with a couple they score as legitimate - even their explanations still show that the information isn't reliably from the sender, nor usual communication from the sending organization.

In every case, my recommendation to staff and our customers, is to NEVER click links in email. ALWAYS either use a bookmark (that you created by typing in the site originally), or type in the web address. Same with phone numbers - if you don't already know the number, look it up in the phone book (or internet directory).

If there is a problem with your account, your will not get an email, you will get a phone call.

I got 100 per cent, surprised myself.

I scored 100%, too. The obvious ones were 'click here'. I know to never do that.

90%...but thought legit bad, but the quiz warned to be cautious about the very issue I thought was problematic. go figure

I'm still broke, though.

My DH fell for the Nigerian scam a feww yrs ago. I stll get an occasional e-mail from them

I got 80%, missed one phish and called one legit fake. I would never click on any link that came from an email and claimed to take me to paypal or my credit card company or bank. Someone got into my bank account a few years ago, and I had to sign a bunch of paperwork at my bank. I was not charged for any of the fake charges, though, and a couple of them were several hundred dollars. I finally figured out it was from something I bought on line. The company sent me an email telling me their accounts had been compromised. My DS told me right then I should have closed my bank account. Live and learn!

Thanks, moonrise!
