I never tried it that way. I only husk the outer dark leaves off then nuke for 3 min- turn it over for 3 more min. When done I peel down the husk and the silk all comes away from the corn and the husk. I twist the husk for a handle -

After I saw this video, I tried it -- except I cooked it for only 3 mins/ear. And the husk didn't shake off very easily. My experience was more like his 2nd try. Several times I have ended up peeling the husks off <using my Ove Gloves, of course, because it's very, very hot.> Just FYI

The video is cute but I just don't love the flavor of corn cooked in the husk.

I tried it a couple days ago & it worked great! I don't think I'll ever husk before cooking again.
