Don't you have a ditch that needs dug? Have them do that, then fill it up....should keep em busy for a while.

Hate to say it, but, $500 is not enough. My niece gets $300 for a 3 day weekend babysitting for 2. Hope you get your new toy and have not gone too crazy to use it.

I had babysit for many years. I have always found accepting that extra children are around and they need attention. Playtime and activities to keep them busy. It will be a busy time for you and maybe more than you realized, but in the end you will be happy you did this for your friend and for the extra money! Good luck and keep an even temper and all will be fine!

channel the energy, keep them busy, play games have fun

I was dating a guy that had 3 kids and I had 2 so we had 5 together. His kids never had any rules and were wild. I would set up little games for them and if they got to crazy, I would tell them to run around the house...they thought it was too fun. I started timing them and they would come over and ask to do it. It is a good way for littler kids to burn up that energy.
Just remember to be stern....when there are that many kids it can get so chaotic, set rules and stick to them. It should be fine. :)

SIX!!! OMG.

Buckle them all in the car safely.. drive to a big hill. Make up some game to get them to run to the top of the hill and back down. keep them going until they are crawling up and rolling down... then put them back in the car and go home to watch a movie.. maybe you can wear them out enough that they will want to sit quietly and watch the movie!! If that doesn't work, try a bribe!! Ice cream usually works.
