I have to say one day I dropped the kids off at school March 17 saint patty's day of all days. I thought it was weird that the school was not as busy as normal. Oh well as I was driving I called the school to let them know that my youngest was having an asthma day and to keep an eye on her. Well the nice lady picked up the phone and let me ramble on before she told me that she never answers the phone on days off. I about died. My kids were at school with no one there! Luckily I was not that far from home and she had them sitting in the office! So It happens to the best of use and I cannot tell you how many times I have locked them in the car in their car seats!

That is so funny. We just get out of the habit of having kids with us.

Many, many years ago our parents for some reason took all the kids to the town dump to get rid of junk, and in the usual argument, forgot one kid there. With the kids in a bad mood too, no one remembered sister, till AFTER dinner, a Highway Patrolman came to the door and casually asked if we had a missing kid who lived here.
Mom and Dad never, ever lived that one down. With all the tired and irritable kids someone or other was always being sent to their room, so I guess it was not anyone's fault.

funny one...reminds me of when I was a kid in grade school..
one night a family drove home after church service to discover they had left one little guy on church pew sound asleep..glad he did not wake up in a dark church all alone....
