I use Listerine. Put it in a spray bottle and spray down the front porch. It works for about 5hrs. and I have to do it again. It takes care of every bug!!!
I'll have to try the water too.

I read about the baggie filled with water but it said to put 4 or 5 pennies in the bag. I would like to know what to do to get rid of wasps, we have so many by the porch door.

One year we had a million flies in the garage so I bought fly tape. Every bug imaginable was stuck to it except FLIES.
I was so frustrated! :D

there is something called a "waspinator"

http://www.amazon.com/Unknown-WASP1-.../dp/B002ITNBT8

i have no idea if it works, but worth a shot for under 10 bucks. i also remember a sewing pattern to make one. but can't remember where i saw it. google it as a pattern and see if you come up with something.
i try to keep up with the ones i see..in the evening i spray where the nests start..(in my grill is a constant fight)

These things work pretty well. I have one about 25 feet outside of that door, and while they aren't all gone, it keeps the population down. Of course, like all fly traps, they are disgusting, so maybe you have to disguise it.

This is what i use for my patio door with my dogs running in and out. have used them for years.(no place to put a doggy door)

I got an email a while back that said to put 5 or 6 pennies in a ziploc filled with water and hang it close to your door, outside. Here is a copy of the information. Don't know if it works, but what have you got to lose.???
Fill a ziplock bag with water and 5 or 6 pennies and hang it in the

Regarding the science behind zip log bags of water? My research found that

I walked away shaking my head, but there's wasn't one fly in that store, and the door was open!

An e-mail went around to put shiny pennies in the plastic bag of water. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure going to try it.
