After suffering from severe hip pain for a couple of days I went to my doc last friday. He send me this morning to the hospital for an x - ray and guess what:
There is a more than an inch long piece of an injection needle in there sticking in my hip bone!? I "knew" about it, but since it happened more than 30 years ago, I`ve forgotten all about it a long time ago. The doctor back then didnt say a word but about half a year later I had an x-ray where it showed. They told me to take care of it, otherwise I would get problems sooner or later. I was so young and there was no pain.........so what. So it took that darn thing more than 30 years to move into the skin of the bone and the pain is almost killing me. Have to wait for thursday morning to go to the hospital where they will discuss on how to take it out. please keep your fingers crossed (my Janome horizon was delivered this morning and I hardly can sit!?) Oh that is terrible, crossing my fingers and toes! When I first read the topic I was thinking sewing needle, and couldn't figure out how you could get that in your hip bone.
|

|
ouch! i can't believe that the original doctor did not insist on the repair.

Oh, my! Hope the "fix" is not too difficult so you can use that wonderful Janome! Good luck and God's blessings by on you.

I'm sorry you have to deal with the pain. Honestly, I chuckled at the title of this thread and wondered what kind of a quilter you are. lol Wishing a speedy removal of the offending sliver.

Hope you can get it taken care of soon and be pain free, that new machine is waiting.

Praying for a speedy fix and recovery. Hope you get to play with your new toy very soon!
